Installation Guide

Install Void Image Viewer and set it as your default image viewer in under a minute.

Installer version

    Download the installer

    Click the Download .exe button above to get the latest signed installer.

    Run VoidSetup.exe

    Double-click the downloaded file. If SmartScreen appears, choose "More info → Run anyway".

    Follow the wizard

    Pick an install folder and optionally set Void as your default image viewer.

    Open any image

    Right-click an image → Open with → Void Image Viewer. Done.

Portable version

    Download the .zip

    Grab the portable archive below — it contains everything Void needs.

    Extract anywhere

    Unzip to a folder, external drive or USB stick. No admin rights required.

    Run Void.exe

    Launch directly from the extracted folder. Settings are stored alongside the app.

Portable

Set as default image viewer

  1. 01Right-click any image file in File Explorer.
  2. 02Choose "Open with" → "Choose another app".
  3. 03Select "Void Image Viewer" from the list.
  4. 04Check "Always use this app to open .xxx files" and click OK.

Troubleshooting

Click "More info", then "Run anyway". This appears for apps without a paid code-signing certificate.

Click "Choose another app" → "More apps" → "Look for another app on this PC", then browse to Void.exe.
